SPECIAL ENVOY OF THE SECRETARY-GENERAL OF IIMSAM H.E. MR. DIAMOND H. LALJI AWARDED THE HIGHEST HONOURS BY THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA.

LALJI, FOR ASSISTING THE CENTRE WITH HIS GENEROSITY OF BUILDING CONCRETE SPIRULINA BASIN THAT INCREASED THE ABILITY FOR THE CENTRE TO CULTIVATE SPIRULINA WHICH RESULTED IN SAVING ADDITIONAL LIVES.

H.E. MR. DIAMOND LALJI, has been awarded by the Republic of Kenya on numerous occassions the latests been Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.) on 12th December, 2012. The award of orders, decoration and medals are based on the recognition of outstanding or distinguished services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities. Awards are made by the president upon the advice of a National Honours and Awards Committee in the president's office. Individuals are nominated for awards by district committees, government ministries, religious organisations, non-governmental organisations, individuals and others. H.e. Mr. Diamond Lalji was awarded as follows; Head of State Commendation (HSC), Civil Division on 11th December, 2008-Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.) on 12th December, 2012. (RANKING OF THE AWARDS ARE AS FOLLOWS; ORDER OF THE GOLDEN HEART-ORDER OF THE BURNING SPEAR-ORDER OF THE GRAND WARRIOR-DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MEDAL-SILVER STAR OF KENYA.)


Of these awards, the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya is the highest honour in Kenya and as of 2009 the award has been bestowed on 198 people since Kenyan independence. Recipients of this award include Yoweri Museveni
the President of Uganda, and Aga Khan IV.

The President of Kenya holds the position of President of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya, the incumbent is Mwai Kibaki.. The criteria used for the awards is that the recipient must be a man or a woman of proven integrity whose role and contribution to the
country and society in general has been found to be exemplary, profound and inspiring. State commendation are conferred based on the contribution and the outstanding service of an individual to the nation. The criteria to award is done by state officials who present the names to the president.

“I had the pleasure of congratulating H.E. Diamond personally on his latests Honour by the Republic of Kenya bestowed upon him at our official IIMSAM Meeting on the 29th of January in Dubai...My sincere gratitude to our Sp. Envoy H.E. Mr. Diamond Lalji… and his continue advocacy and support of our mandate...his goodwill gesture, advocacy, financial support and his liaisson work with the government of Kenya has helped IIMSAM to save countless of additional lives that otherwise would have been impossible”....it only serves as an example to emulate by others but it is just the beginning in the comming weeks our Centre will be Step-up to meet new and ever increasing demands for our Spirulina distribution and other life saving services we have been providing since 2009 which has led to the saving of thousands of lives at the Centre in Kisumu, Kenya.”...With H.E. Help we will be able to modernised our facilities by adding more concrete basins to further the output of our Spirulina production to be able to meet the ever increasing demands for Spirulina in benefit of the local population who are in need of its benefits in fighting many illnesses including the number one killer in the world malnutrition.”...It will also bring secure funding to meet the sustainability of our Life Saving Centre.”
